Chuck began his carpentry training back in 1998 under Gary Riddle, owner of Riddles Decks & Remodeling. After nearly five years of learning the trade, Chuck kickstarted his career as a small business owner, founding CWC Inc. in 2002. Within four years, the company had expanded to offer custom cabinetry and opened its first public location in Hays, North Carolina.
As the company continued to grow, additional space and new locations became necessary. CWC moved to downtown Wilkesboro in 2010 and would occupy this space with a cabinet shop, main office, and showroom for the next two years. Relocating once again in 2012 to Rock Creek would spark the beginning of a new chapter for the business. The following year Chuck acquired his North Carolina General Contractors License and added crucial team member Nathan Bryan to the staff as an office assistant and project manager. Once these pivotal steps had been taken, an opportunity surfaced for a more centralized location on Highway 268 in North Wilkesboro. For the last time. the company relocated to our current address in 2017, with full intentions of maintaining a permanent occupancy. That same year, Rita Wells, who worked as an accountant for 20+ years with Caudill Tax Service, joined the team as Executive Office Administrator. This addition allowed Chuck and Nathan to focus more primarily on customer service and expansion.
Micah Bryan joined the office staff as Project Estimator in 2020, proving to be a viable asset to the team with his experience in corporate settings and proficiency in painting/finishing. Lastly, Jordan Wallis transitioned from a part-time field position to full-time Project Management Assistant, marked by his graduating from Guilford College.
